To ensure and enforce compliance with our anti-plagiarism / anti-cheating policies. Your Email address: The email address you provide for order processing and site communications, may be used to send you information and updates pertaining to your order, request, student questions and/or course updates. However, if you send an information request via our contact us page your email will only be used to correspond with you regarding your request. This address will be deleted after the information request has been closed. How do we protect your information? We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you submit a request, place an order or enter, submit, or access your personal information. These security measures include: password protected directories and databases to safeguard your information, SSL (Secure Sockets Layered) technology to ensure that your information is fully encrypted and sent across the Internet securely and Firewall Scanning to actively protect our servers from hackers and other vulnerabilities. OETC annually and periodically scans all database and website files using SiteLock ® to ensure our site is Malware Free OETC uses PayPal and Stripe payment gateway systems to ensure we are using the most up to date and secure method of payment process available on the internet. Due to this operating philosophy, OETC does not keep any records of your personal financial information as this is processed completely by Paypal or Stripe. After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers. Any telephone payments made will include a deletion of credit card information following the successful or failed transaction. OETC Use of cookies? Yes (Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computers hard drive through your Web browser that enables the sites or service providers systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information). OETC uses cookies in only 2 ways: To allow you secured access to our e-Training system. To maintain any location information within partially completed Unit Presentations (Flash Cookies). Do we disclose any information to outside parties? No and we never will, we do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties any of your personal information. This does not include trusted third parties (such as PayPal or Stripe) who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, (Regulator Director Approval i.e. provincial, state certification boards & ministries), so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential under OETC’s Privacy Policy. We may also release your information when we believe a release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others' rights, property, or safety. Third party links At OETC discretion, we will include or offer third party links (such as Provincial, State or Federal links) or services on our website. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites. Canadian, USA and California and On-line Privacy Protection Acts conformance.
